Privacy Policy - Comments Search for Youtube
This privacy policy explains what data we have access to, why we need such access and how we handle it.
We do not track, collect or store data related to your activity while using the extension. The extension relies on Youtube API to access public data like comments and videos and is subject to their Terms of Service.
Permissions
When you first install the extension you are asked to grant the following permissions:
- Read and change your data on youtube.com
This permission is required to allow the extension to load and become part of the relevant youtube page when you need it.
API Key
The API key required by the extension is used, if provided, for core functionality and authentication. It is important to note that:
- This key is anonymous and does not reveal information about the end-user.
- We do not store it nor have access to it.
Security
The extension uses HTTPS-Only connections to access the Internet.
User Data
This section describes the types of user data that are used and stored:

Locally Stored Data: Data stored on your device includes non-personal information such as user settings and preferences, the API key used by the extension as well as user-generated data such as search bookmarks.

Remotely Stored Data: Data stored on the server is non-personally identifiable and includes hashed representation of an API key, public IP address and user feedback/support requests.
The following applies for subscribed members only:
- Financial and Payment Information: For subscribed members, a transaction ID is retained to help resolve any issues related to your subscription, verify your subscription, and ensure an effective resolution.
Cookies
We do not use cookies or share data with third-parties.
